I Hope You Stick Around

I discovered today that I have lost followers because of my 31 Days of Pink.  I understand that receiving something in your inbox everyday can be overwhelming.  Especially when what is being shared doesn’t resonate with you.  If breast cancer awareness just isn’t “your thing.”

I was a little saddened because one of the followers I lost is a friend.  The last thing I want to do is drive people away.  Quite the opposite actually.  Hopefully readers will be able to take away a little something from One Salty Kiss with the understanding that they are also getting a  little piece of me.  Breast cancer awareness has been a very personal and important cause to me and I am on a quest to finish my 31 Days of Pink.  It is something I started with a heart full of love.

I have no judgment toward my friend.  She explained that she still checks in with OSK but breast cancer everyday was just too much!

With that being said, I totally understand that One Salty Kiss isn’t for everyone.  In this day and age, there is so much information available at our fingertips that there is no reason we should have to read things that don’t interest us.

My goal is for One Salty Kiss to be a place where people can come to get inspired.  To gain support as we navigate life together.  To find courage in stepping  away from complacency and trying things that are new or scary.  To explore passions and find simple ways to bring meaning to the everyday.  To discover our heart’s desire and find ways to hold onto joy.

Quite a lofty goal I realize.  But I want you to know, I will get there.  Have patience with me.  It might get ugly. I may get a few bumps and bruises along the way but, I will get there!

So, at this point, all I can do is be honest and say I hope you stick around.

As always, thanks for listening!

Salty Kisses,

Karen

  1. Remember my dear, you can’t please everyone a 100%. So if you lose some along the way, you will also gain some.
No need to apologize or feel bad over One Friend.
It’s about you and your commitment.
Thank you for caring and sharing.
    Hugs, Nani.

    • Thank you for your comment Nani! I appreciate the wisdom. It’s hard finding the balance of being true to myself but making sure I’m posting things people will want to read. I have no hard feelings….i appreciate anyone who stops by any of my social media outlets to see what I have to say! But I do have a special place in my heart for my blog followers and commenters!! 🙂 xoxo
