Weekly Photo Challenge: Early Bird
As a surfer, I have had my share of early morning surf sessions; fervently heading into the ocean as the sun rises in the sky. I have been witness to some breathtaking views as mother nature rarely disappoints.
This photo was taken literally as I stepped outside my front door. I was up with the dawn to begin my search for waves and was awestruck at the scene that greeted me as I opened the door. In my astonishment, I paused for a moment to take it all in. I then quickly loaded my surfboard and ran back inside to grab my camera and capture the magnificent sight.
I was awestruck and so thankful that I got up early that day.
Somedays, my bed is just so much more enticing than the thought of diving into the cold ocean.
But on this morning, I was rewarded greatly for my eagerness to start the day; just as the bird who arises early in anticipation of catching the worm.
