My blog is named One Salty Kiss because I am a surfer. Many years ago I took a huge leap out of my comfort zone to try surfing and I fell in love. It started my love affair with the sea. My love of surfing took me out of my comfort zone again several years ago when I started my first blog, a surf blog.

I always signed off on my posts with the phrase Salty Kisses. One Salty Kiss is an extension of my signature parting words. It refers to one of my deepest passions; something that makes my soul dance. When starting this blog, a blog for women about rediscovering ourselves, growing our courage and riding the waves of life while learning to survive the wipe outs, One Salty Kiss felt like a logical name.

One Salty Kiss is an attitude. It is having the courage to true to who you are and honor what you are passionate about with no apologies. It signifies a way to show appreciation for your intrinsic gifts and anything that makes your heart soar.

Most of us need encouragement or sometimes even permission to nurture our passions and to chase our dreams. Some of us aren’t even sure what our dreams are! One Salty Kiss is a space to connect with others and spread the word that life is too short to deny who we truly are and much too short to live someone else’s dreams.

Here we will begin a journey of self discovery. We will learn to listen to and honor our inner voice. We will celebrate our worth, and we will courageously craft our life into something that brings us joy. One Salty Kiss to be a place where you can get inspiration and support as you learn to listen to that voice inside you.  It’s a place we can talk about life together; this magical, perplexing, lovely, difficult, abundant thing called life. Where we can meet the transitions of life head on and come through them stronger and better.
