I am a very green photographer. A passion for photography is something I have only discovered since starting my blogs and needing photos to go along with my words. It has actually surprised me how much I enjoy it. I delight in the wordpress photo challenges because it forces me to use photography as another way to express myself. And from someone who is most comfortable expressing herself in words, this can sometimes be, well, . . .a challenge.

Y’all know I am obsessed with surfing and the ocean so most of my photos are at the beach.

Here is my use of the rule of thirds. Something I didn’t even know about until recently.

The other surfer in the background lessens the impact of the photo.

But, I am allowing myself to be a novice and learn along the way.
