Weekly Photo Challenge: Gone But Not Forgotten

Last May I had a chance to go on a trip of a lifetime. I, with four of my surf sisters, went on a surf adventure to Oahu. I had never been to this Hawaiian Island before. To go on a journey with the sole purpose of searching out warm, head high, crystal blue waves was simply delightful. It was unlike any vacation I had ever experienced. Not only did I have a magical time surfing multiple sessions daily, I became enchanted with the Island. As I would sit in the warms waters of Waikiki waiting to catch a wave, I would relish the sight of Diamond Head in the distance. It is truly a majestic display. This memory is the first thought that came to my mind when I saw this week’s photo challenge. Although the experience is long gone, the glorious memories will never be forgotten.
